Special Session Information: 

Advanced composite structures have been increasingly attracted attention in the aerospace industry because of their superior specific mechanical performance and multifunctionality compared to metallic counterparts. Currently, several innovative modeling methods and manufacturing techniques for advanced composites have been developed, playing a crucial role in extending the applications of advanced composite structures. In this Session, we welcome research- and application-oriented submissions that share promising techniques and strategies related to novel manufacturing techniques, modeling methods, mechanical characterization, applications of advanced composite structures, as well as other relevant fields.

 

Below is an incomplete list of potential topics to be covered in the Special Session :

  • Additive manufacturing of composite structures
  • Novel modelling techniques towards design or manufacturing of composite structures
  • New design methods and approaches for composite structures
  • Mechanical/functional characterization of fiber-reinforced composite structures

Special Session Information:

With the increase of various launch missions, more and more requirements have been put forward for the performance and price of rocket engines. Rocket engines involve many types, improving performance and reducing price, involving overall design technology, fuel and combustion technology, shell and manufacturing technology, nozzle and control technology, lightweight technology, low-cost technology, and recycling technology of rocket engines.

This special Session aims to spotlight and explore the latest advances in the advanced guidance and control field, providing crucial insights and advancements to the development of trustworthy and high-performance guidance and control technologies.

Special Session Ⅴ: Smart materials and their applications

Special Session Information:

Smart structures have been widely applied in aerospace, civil engineering, ship, automobile, water conservancy and many other industries. The realization of intelligent functions depends on the development of sensors, actuators, controllers, etc. To encourage further understanding and development of smart materials, this special session is organized to collect original and innovative papers on topics including but not limit to the preparation, analysis, modeling of various types of smart materials, and their applications in smart structures. Theoretical, numerical and experimental contributions are equally welcome.
